Join the Cause
We aim to deliver safe, readily available housing solutions for patient families in greatest need at Seattle Children’s to improve health care outcomes while supporting greater hope, care, and cures.
Donation- Funding
Your donation will directly help a family struggling to make a rent payment or pay a mortgage or place them in temporary housing when no other options are available and homelessness is imminent.
Donation- Housing
Help provide housing solutions to patient families of Seattle Children’s Hospital. We believe that personal donations along with business partnerships and corporate giving can have significant impact – HS4H is looking for RV donations, mother-in-law units, long-term hotel capacity, ADUs, and other solutions.

How To Help?
Safe, Feasible Locations
Provide clean, safe and local housing solutions for families in greatest need during their child’s care at Seattle Children’s.
Improved Patient/Family Health
Patient health outcomes are improved when the family house is safe and reliable. When a child is sick the whole family needs healing.
Readily Available Housing
Adequate family housing capacity does not exist today for patient families – the need is great and we have solutions!
Socio-Economic Benefits
Stable housing is essential for the patient family’s health and economic prosperity. Our Guild is committed to addressing the social injustice of homelessness that occurs for some patient families.

What People Say ?
As I think about this subject, housing insecurity or inadequate has to be one of the greatest social determinants of health that our families are confronted with. We know that structural features of the home (i.e., mold, pest infestation, etc.) directly impact health; while affordability, frequent moves, and homelessness may indirectly impact health. These events also disrupt the social networks that families with children with complex medical needs often rely upon. The end result is increased family stress and difficulty maintaining optimal health. The ability to interrupt / break these cycles would have a far reaching impact on the lives of our patients and families.
Roosevelt Travis, Seattle Children’s Director of Social Work
I am very excited to join the Housing Solutions for Hope Guild and thank you for your deep commitment to our patients and families. The Guild will be a vital resource for families who are struggling to make ends meet at the same time that they care for their children with complex medical conditions. Support for lodging and housing is essential.
